Manfeild Chief Executive steps down
Kathy Gibson has stepped down as Manfeild Park Chief Executive. Kathy has served as Manfeild Chief Executive since 2019.
Kathy has been instrumental in strengthening Manfeild Park's core assets, including the Manfeild Stadium, the Circuit Chris Amon, and Drive Manfeild. Her tenure saw the growth of key events in the agriculture, equestrian, and motorsport sectors, as well as leveraging government funding to support the wider region.
Her strong leadership and innovative approach saw Manfeild adapt to support the community over the COVID-19 pandemic. Manfeild Park became a vital resource for the region, hosting the country's first drive-thru vaccination centre and ensuring essential services continued during the challenging period.
Kathy played a role in supporting the revival of the successful Daybreaker Rally in 2024, which saw Feilding and Manawatū featured on the national stage.
Kathy previously served as the Chief Executive of Special Olympics New Zealand and Destination Manawatu. She also has international experience, with a senior position with Marac Corporation, and four years in London as New Zealand Trade Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Kathy's passion for Manfeild and community has been clear throughout her tenure. She has had a long association with Manfeild, from the Trust’s formation in 2004 and as a board member more recently. Manfeild Park Trust wishes Kathy well with her future endeavours.
